Website Or Blog?

With so many blog providers currently offering an excellent – and free – service, you could be mistaken for thinking that web-sites are now redundant and consigned to a time when paying for things was the only way to do it. This has never been less true. With competition growing and customers even less tolerant of sub-par home-pages, it’s important to remember that a web-site can offer you things which a blog can only dream of, such as the following:

1) While a blog is great for your roaming plans of world domination, it only comes in a few standard templates. A web-site can be personalised to your exact requirements. In other words, it means you can be totally unique. That’s a really great USP right there which blows many blogs like Wordpress and Blogspot right out of the stratosphere.

2) With a web-site, you get more features to make it easier for your visitors to navigate their way around. This means no confusion and a good viewing experience. In turn, this translates into money and work. Now, who wouldn’t want both of those?

3) You can add video. This can be invaluable for the person who needs it. While blogs allow you to embed videos, they aren’t customizable. It’s one size fits all, and sometimes you just need that extra winning edge.

4) You get a unique address. This is fantastic because it shows prospective clients that you’re serious about what you do. Another good reason for them to enquire.
